Extra Virgin Olive Oil
Umbrian oil makes up only about 2 percent of Italy’s olive oil production but wins a far larger proportion of awards. At the Murlo Estate, we love our traditions and local products. Olive harvest is for us a source of great satisfaction and joy. Olives are harvested at the estate farm, picked and pressed at the local Frantoio. The oil is then bottled, labelled, and taken back to the Estate where it is ready to be enjoyed by our guests.
We are very proud of our olive oil, which boasts tradition and is of undisputed quality at a national level, so much so that it has been awarded the prestigious DOP status (a guarantee that the oil is produced, processed, and packaged in a specific geographical zone and according to tradition. Each step, from production to packaging, is regulated).
